Ozone layer, this time GOOD news!
Ozone Layer, Ozone Layer, Ozone Layer, still worried about the Ozone Layer?
Not for long!
Our collective efforts has made the headlines, so you, are on public media!
The Ozone layer is showing signs of recovery, according to the United Nations (U.N).
The great efforts done by the governments of various countries and places, have managed to bring down the level of the Ozone Depletion!
The Montreal Protocol (1987) with the aim of reducing ozone depleting substances has been successful in reducing these emissions by more than 90 percent, and the decrease is about five times larder than the annual emissions reduction target for the first commitment period (2008-2012) of the Kyoto Protocol.
According to global models, these protocols will have prevented 2 million annual cases of skin cancer by 2030, and averted damage to human eyes & immune systems, and also protected wildlife and agriculture.
However, the rapid increase in certain substitutes of CFC, which are themselves potent greenhouse gases, has the potential to undermine and undo all these gains form the hard work of the administrations and scientists.

This image, released by NASA in 2011, shows the ozone layer in the lower stratosphere. Red represents large amounts of ozone , while purple and grey represent very small amounts. The white line marks the area within which chemical ozone destruction takes place.
You may have thought, that our Earth, after all this use, is just a dooming planet, with dooming ecosystems and with 'apocalapsy' type activities done by humans...
A headlines, to be known and practised.

Wow! One good initiative has shown results :-) Our earth needs many more such initiatives... Physical and psychological therapy... to maintain whatever is left with us
