Why can't we hitch a ride on light?
There have been many fiction books and movies on all fantasy people riding on a spaceship in the speed of light! Light, as we understand it, is a wave or a ray, so it can go through SOME types of objects, whereas strong rays like gamma rays can even go past most of the metals. Here's a graph of the wavelengths of the rays we see or experience almost everyday...
So as a common understanding, light is a ray and so, the ray will rather go through us than pushing us with it...

- What if we were pushed down flat on the ground by light at noon because the Sun is right above us, emitting light! We would start flying if there's a mirror below us!
Some day, some person might find some material which light and rays pushes, instead of going through it or reflecting itself? It will be a major breakthrough, and we could reach the star Proxima Centauri in just mere 4.2 years? And the Kepler system, the Andromeda Galaxy, the Orion constellation and an endless number of destinations, and maybe some day, we could reach the ends of our universe, and scientists can do extensive studies, and much more!
